La Spirale Vineyard: A Bergström Wines Estate
Planted 2005 * Ribbon Ridge AVA * Elevation: 400-450ft
La Spirale means the vortex; a symbol of life, creation, and the natural formative forces that guide our hands in our agricultural and winemaking pursuits at Bergström Wines. It is also the name of our newest estate vineyard on the Ribbon Ridge AVA, just a stone’s throw from our Le Pré du Col Vineyard and within eyesight of the winery on the Chehalem Mountains AVA. This complex and beautifully positioned Southwest facing 22-acre rolling slope includes more than 14 different marine sedimentary soil expressions. Planted by the Redman family and purchased by our family in 2018.

Josh Bergström's Notes
Only 2-acres of this vineyard are planted to Chardonnay, sitting on sandy soils and faceing southwest. This later-ripening site presents Chardonnay with notes of spiced pear and Meyer lemon citrus, pastry cream-like decadence, a sweet and suave mouthfeel, and a backbone of minerals and saline; a great balance between tension and silk. Drink Now - 2025. Alcohol: 13.3%
