2013 Temperance Hill Pinot Noir

The Bergstrom Wines 2013 Temperance Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir is pale red cherry in color. The aromatic perfume is of red pie cherries, cola, higher toned floral notes of roses and herb garden. Something meaty or reminiscent of savory tomato sauce from the red volcanic soil also adds intrigue to this wine.
This wine is medium bodied and possesses great sweetness and a pure silky texture with the finest of fine sweet tannins. Red fruits like cherries and raspberries with a slight note of plum appear on the mid palate and then a sweet and disarming floral finish. This is a very elegant Temperance Hill, perhaps the prettiest of our lineup this year and one of our most elegant offerings since our inaugural vintage 1999 Pinot Noir.
The finish is very floral and silky and lithe on its feet but has weight of fruit and volcanic soil sweetness with little barrique interference. This is pure pinot expression from a high elevation site in a warm vintage.
