2013 Sigrid Chardonnay
Our flagship white wine and a leader among American Chardonnays, our 2013 Sigrid may be our finest effort yet. Perhaps I am guilty of saying that too often, but as you all know; I am proud of this wine and Sigrid continues to get stronger every year and we are thrilled about this vintage.
The 2013 Sigrid Chardonnay is white gold in color with the slightest green tint denoting youthfulness and protection. The aromas of banana candies, pear, green melon, hazelnut, ginger custard, wet stones, and lemongrass leap from the glass in a swirl of fantastic complexity. In the mouth this wine is a departure from its rich aromatic profile as it is a prime example of lush austerity. Lemon and citrus pith lead the way with green apple, quince, and a creamy leesy texture that envelopes the juicy and succulent youthful structure into a complete and utterly thrilling package that will drink well young and age for 10 or more years.
