We believe strongly in the power and promise of Oregon Chardonnay. Sigrid Chardonnay is an homage to our Swedish grandmother whose spirit, grace, and strength inspired three generations of Bergström children. After harvesting each of our estate vineyards by hand, we ferment the fruit separately in small French oak barrels, where it undergoes full malolactic fermentation and aging sur lie for 18 months. Only then do we select the finest of these barrels for our Sigrid Chardonnay. In a bottle of Sigrid, you will find the layered textures, mineral structure, fresh citrus and stone-fruit flavors and floral aromas we hope will inspire you to continue following the Oregon renaissance of this noble white grape.

Light gold in color. Quite expressive in the glass. Notes of toasted almond and brioche are balanced with flint and Meyer lemon. The richness continues to the palate where it is met with an acid-driven backbone, promising elegance as it continues to age. Honey graham crackers and candied citrus peel integrate well with a textural oak spice profile.

White gold with a green chlorophyll hue, this 12.7% alcohol Willamette Valley Chardonnay has a very complex aromatic perfume of Meyer lemon, honeysuckle, toasted brioche, citrus flowers, sugar cookie and a sweet tarragon, mint and saffron herbal note. The 2016 Sigrid Chardonnay is saline and salty with fantastic citrus driven acidity with an herbal tea complexity and sweet pastry notes without being a sweet wine and it begs for oysters, lobster or crab as a food pairing.
