After a sixteen-year hiatus, the 2024 vintage marks the return of Dr. Bergström Riesling to our cellar. It boasts an incredibly effusive nose, teeming with vibrant aromas of orange oils and citrus blossom, heightened by a hint of white pepper. The delicate perfume of roses mingles with an underlying medley of tropical fruits: pineapple, lychee, and tangerine that lend the wine a captivating, exotic edge. The wine reveals phenolic complexity on the palate, with a firm electric acidity that provides exceptional balance to the balanced Kabinett residual sugar level.
Absolutely delightful, this wine showcases a harmonious tension, where the lively, crisp freshness perfectly offsets the sweetness. It is serious yet elegant, with an intensely perfumed finish that showcases its complexity and refined balance. It truly expresses Riesling’s ability to marry precision and excitement.
