Our Homage Pinot Noir is an assemblage of our finest wine barrels from each vintage, beginning in 2008. The Homage label is our heartfelt tribute to all of the friends and mentors, grape farmers and winemakers--both living and departed-- who have helped Bergstrom Wines become what it is today. A portion of the proceeds from our Homage label are donated to ¡Salud!, a collaboration between Oregon winemakers and the Tuality Healthcare Foundation, working to provide access to healthcare services for Oregon vineyard workers and their families.
Josh Bergström's Notes
Bright red-cherry in color with an intoxicating perfume of fresh roses, dried flower potpourri, cherry fruit, incense, mushrooms, loamy soil, and toasty French oak barrel spices (a perfume that is revealed after a brief decantation from beneath a flinty, mineral, and reductive nose). Lovely and savory umami flavors from whole-cluster fermentation, a succulent natural acidity, and a delicate floral lift keep this wine light on its feet, but there is also a serious, red-fruit profile and a structure which will need 5-8 years to open. This wine will be as good, if not better, than the 2010 and 2013 (my two favorite vintages of Homage which also needed time to open). Drink Now - 2030+. Alcohol: 12.9%
