One of the great wine properties of the New World, and a wonderful partner of Bergström Wines for 17 vintages. Dick and Dierdre Shea, and their 140-acre vineyard with its endless micro-climates and inch-thin sandy soils consistently produce exceptional Pinot Noir fruit for 20+ of the best wineries in Oregon. Bergström Wines has historically purchased fruit from six different clonal blocks, totaling 16 acres.
Winemaker Notes
*updated January 2025
An incredibly rich tapestry of sweet fruits and spice unfolds in this wine, with enticing notes of Red Delicious apples, Chinese five spice, and citrus. The palate reveals a concentrated, darkly sweet core layered with roasted coffee beans, orange oils, dried tobacco leaves, roasted pecans, and toffee brittle. A touch of salinity on the lasting finish enhances the savory succulence, beautifully balancing its fruit-forward profile. The palate is sweet and harmonious, supported by velvet-smooth tannins and a long, elegant finish. Pair seamlessly with Peking duck.
