Old Stones Chardonnay
Willamette Valley AVA
We believe strongly in the power and promise of Oregon Chardonnay. Old Stones Chardonnay is the baby sister to our Sigrid Chardonnay. We select fresh-fruited and mineral-laden barrels of wine to highlight Oregon Chardonnay at its most charming an elegant. Succulent upon release and ready to pair with many foods, especially dishes containing fresh seafood, shellfish, mushrooms, hazelnuts, and artisan cheese.
Josh Bergström's Notes
The 2018 Old Stones Chardonnay is white gold with a youthful chlorophyll hue. A mouthwatering aromatic panoply of citrus fruit, pith, and flowers, as well as yellow and orange-fleshed stone fruits. A lovely note of pear and wet rocks gives a mineral edge to a classic Chardonnay bouquet. In the mouth, this wine has tension and vibrancy that frames a honeysuckle sweetness wrapped up in a lemony, grapefruit finish. Bright, saline, textural, and mineral, with a kiss of sweet fruit, and the 2018 vintage of this wine may be one of my all-time favorites! 0% new oak was used in the making of this wine.
