We believe strongly in the power and promise of Oregon Chardonnay. Sigrid Chardonnay is an homage to our Swedish grandmother whose spirit, grace, and strength inspired three generations of Bergström children. After harvesting each of our estate vineyards by hand, we ferment the fruit separately in small French oak barrels, where it undergoes full malolactic fermentation and aging sur lie for 18 months. Only then do we select the finest of these barrels for our Sigrid Chardonnay. In a bottle of Sigrid, you will find the layered textures, mineral structure, fresh citrus and stone-fruit flavors and floral aromas we hope will inspire you to continue following the Oregon renaissance of this noble white grape.

Green-white-gold in color (which is astounding after 5 years in the bottle, and we can thank our DIAM cork closures for this protection!), the 2014 Sigrid Chardonnay deserves to be decanted or left to open up in the glass for 5 minutes. Distinct old-world aromas of gun flint, fresh struck match, and cave-aged, alpine hard cheeses open to reveal Meyer lemon, citrus pith, and the trademark Sigrid floral component. This perfectly aged vintage of Sigrid has flavors of succulent citrus fruits like lime, lemon, and tangerine, honey, buttered brioche, and hazelnuts. It has a nice, full body with a long, sweet finish of honeysuckle, sugar cookie, and spiced marzipan. Drinking very well right now. Great sweetness and texture. I love this vintage, and it will continue to unfurl and deliver pleasurable food pairing experiences for many years. Drink Now - 2030+. Alcohol: 13.2%.
