Shea Vineyard
Planted 1989 * Yamhill-Carlton AVA * Elevation: 400-600ft
One of the great wine properties of the New World, and a wonderful partner of Bergström Wines for 17 vintages. Dick and Dierdre Shea, and their 140-acre vineyard with its endless micro-climates and inch-thin sandy soils consistently produce exceptional Pinot Noir fruit for 20+ of the best wineries in Oregon. Bergström Wines has historically purchased fruit from six different clonal blocks, totaling 16 acres.
Josh Bergström's Notes
The 2013 Shea Vineyard is a gorgeous expression of the vineyard in this vintage: a potpourri of dark fruits, blue fruits and loamy earth with a lifted floral perfume reminiscent of roses that adds delicacy and grace. The wine is medium bodied with full ripe fruit flavors that coat the palate with dense silky waves of texture, sweetness and a long mineral and floral finish. Drink Now - 2019+. Alcohol: 13.3%
