2011 Old Stones Chardonnay
After the longest and coolest viticultural season in Oregon's recent history, where yields were low, natural acidity levels were balanced on the high end, and potential alcohol levels were around 12%, we can safely say that Bergström Wines has crafted our greatest Chardonnays to date with the 2011 vintage. These wines will not only drink wonderfully with foods upon release but will also age gracefully for 10-12 years.
Pale white gold in color, the 2011 Old Stones Chardonnay has mouthwatering aromas of lime blossom, lemon pastry, saffron and other sweet baking spices with a saline character reminiscent of Kumamoto oysters. This wine bursts in the mouth like citrus filled hard candies. The wine finishes with a juicy, succulent long and drawn out finale which goes on and on, leaving a defined sense of minerality.
